Causes of food allergies

Over the years, allergies have become more and more common, both in children and adults. In many cases, it creates discomfort and impedes the quality of life of people.

Food allergies can occur in different ways and at different intensities. Some people appear within a few minutes of eating, and others a few hours after eating.

The immune system in the case of food allergies increases its protection by detecting as a threat to the body the foods we have eaten and can manifest in: skin, respiratory system, digestive or cardiovascular system.

     The most common symptoms are:

  • Itching of the skin. These appear in the skin, mouth or ear canal
  • Skin rash
  • In some cases, the following may occur: abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Cough, excessive mucus, sneezing.
  • Dry mouth and throat.
  • Difficulty ingesting food, neither solids nor liquids.
  • Airway blockage.

     Food allergies can occur for several reasons. These are:

  • Many babies suffer from this problem because of artificial breastfeeding instead of breast milk
  • They may also appear due to processed foods to infants too quickly
  • The congenital cause
  • Infants may also suffer from antibiotics and vaccines
  • The growth of the chemicals we use in our homes may be another cause of food allergies

     Treatment of food allergies:

  • Avoid foods you consider to cause food allergy
  • Antibiotics should only be taken under medical supervision and prescribed by the same. If you do not take this into account you may suffer from allergies.
  • Eat as many vegetables and foods that contain fiber.
  • Maintaining healthy gut flora, with prebiotics and prebiotics, we can avoid and improve food allergies.
  • Reduce stress, because this is also a very important factor in this problem. Stress reduction can be done with the help of daily physical exercises or with yoga or relaxation therapies.
